Data We Collect

Important: Immich Viewer is a client application that connects solely to your self-hosted Immich server. We do not operate any backend servers or collect your photos, videos, or media content.

How We Use Your Data

Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data to provide and improve our services. The legal bases are your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Storage and Transfer

App data: All Immich server connection information and authentication data is stored locally on your Apple TV device using Apple's secure keychain. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. All photo and video data is accessed directly from your Immich server and is only temporarily cached on your device for performance. The app does not store or transmit your media content.

Website data: Any contact information or website preferences you provide are stored within the European Union. Where transfers occur outside the EU, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied.

Data Retention

App data: Immich server connection information stored locally on your device is retained until you remove the account from the app or uninstall the app. You can remove accounts at any time through the app settings. Temporary media caches are automatically cleared by the system.

Website data: We retain contact information and website preferences only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

App data: You have full control over your app data. You can remove accounts and delete all locally stored connection information directly from the app settings at any time. Since we do not store any app data on our servers, deletion from your device is immediate and complete.

Website data: You can request deletion of your website account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@adriank.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

Media content: All photo and video data remains on your Immich server and is controlled entirely by you. Our app only accesses this data for display purposes and does not modify, delete, or store content from your Immich server.

Third-Party Services

Immich Server: This app connects solely to your self-hosted Immich server. All photo and video data is stored and managed by your Immich server instance, which you control. We do not have access to your Immich server or its data. We recommend reviewing your Immich server's privacy and security settings.

Apple Services: The app uses Apple's TestFlight service for beta testing distribution. TestFlight may collect usage data in accordance with Apple's privacy policy. The app also uses Apple's App Store for distribution, which is subject to Apple's privacy policies.

Website: This website may use third-party services for hosting and analytics (with your consent). When we share website data with third-party service providers, we ensure that they provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this privacy policy.

Security

App security: The app stores authentication credentials securely using Apple's keychain services. All communication with your Immich server uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). The app does not transmit any data to our servers.

Website security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect website data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication methods, and regular security assessments.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app accesses photos and videos from your Immich server, which may contain content of any age. It is your responsibility to manage access to your Immich server and its content. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@adriank.app and we will delete such information.
